Residents are assisted in establishing a balanced lifestyle, through finding and stabilizing in employment, through participation in recreational activities and by developing positive relationships and attitudes towards their responsibilities.

The program includes weekly group discussions on recovery issues.  In-house meetings of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous are held and residents are required to participate in AA/NA programming both in the House and in the community.

There is no set term of residency however a minimal period of at least three months is seen as beneficial to establishing a base for continued recovery, and developing needed life skills, while a stay of one year is recommended and encouraged to further solidify the recovery foundation.

A resident may be asked to leave if he fails to maintain recovery, refuses to participate fully in House activities, or does not abide by the simple House rules based in mutual respect.
